The Need
Across Asia, food systems are under pressure from climate change, land degradation, and resource scarcity—threatening the livelihoods and food security of millions. Alongside this, Southeast Asia’s food security is also threatened primarily by outdated practices, inadequate agricultural infrastructures and resources, and persistent supply chain disruptions, affecting long-term resilience.
The Interventions
At ASSIST, we empower farmers, fishers, and agri-entrepreneurs to build sustainable, inclusive food systems. Through climate-smart practices, market access, financial literacy, and youth engagement, we strengthen value chains across key sectors—corn, coconut, coffee, cacao, livestock, and aquaculture—creating lasting impact from fields to coasts through integrated, community-driven development approaches.
